We are an online-only luxury furniture and lighting boutique, and do not have a warehouse. Consequently, all orders are drop shipped directly from our manufacturers to your door. If your order includes items from more than one manufacturer, you will receive multiple deliveries. Because we are dependent on the on-hand inventory of our manufacturing partners, some items listed on our site may not actually be available right away. Our Progeny Series began as a celebration of Colorado and its innovative spirit. The third edition within this series takes form as a collaboration with Redstone Meadery.
Since 2006, the artisans at Boulder-based Redstone Meadery have been creating some of our absolute favorite examples of this fermented honeywine known as mead. When the opportunity arose to collaborate with the crew at Redstone – supplying to them freshly harvested Deerhammer whiskey barrels to age mead within – then receiving back these mead saturated barrels as a finishing tribute to our American single malt… we jumped all over this opportunity to create something new.
After an initial 2 years bout in toasted, #2 char new American oak, our whiskey was then transferred into ex-Redstone mead barrels. For an additional 2 years, it was left to intertwine with the residual complexities of Redstone’s finest barrel-aged meads. The results are extraordinary! Progeny 3: Honeycomber. A honey barrel in the truest sense!
