Drop Shipping

We are an online-only luxury furniture and lighting boutique, and do not have a warehouse. Consequently, all orders are drop shipped directly from our manufacturers to your door. If your order includes items from more than one manufacturer, you will receive multiple deliveries. Because we are dependent on the on-hand inventory of our manufacturing partners, some items listed on our site may not actually be available right away. Please call us at 888.784.4644 or via our contact form with any stocking questions and we'll get in touch with the appropriate manufacturer for answers, before you place your order.

Ground Shipping

Small parcel items ship regular ground via delivery services such as FedEx, UPS or DHL. Orders typically take 2-3 business days to process and in-stock items will usually be delivered 3-5 days from the date that they ship (depending on origin and destination). If there is a delay, you will be notified by email. No signature is required for standard ground shipping, so you may want to make arrangements to have packages brought inside soon after delivery, if you are unable to receive it in person.

We speak a lot about the importance of gut health—not only for beauty—but also in terms of our overall health, wellbeing and immunity. But before we can fully understand why the gut is so integral to our health, it’s first essential to learn more about the physiology of the gut itself—and how it works.

Description

This six year old release showcases our fruity unpeated single malt whisky with a rare Hungarian sweet wine cask influence. Initially matured within first fill ex-bourbon casks to offer notes of tropical mango, pineapple orange, dried apricot, cashew nuts, manuka honey and nutmeg spice.
A limited-edition release as part of our Glasgow 1770 Small Batch Series; our ongoing set of bottlings that demonstrate the versatility of whisky made here at our contemporary urban distillery. The Small Batch Series showcases our three whisky-making styles across peated, unpeated, and triple distilled single malts with a wide range of new and exciting cask maturations.
The Glasgow 1770 Tokaji Cask Finish release is a six year old bottling, created from four casks with initial maturation within first fill ex-bourbon barrels for a minimum of 3 years and 4 months before a finishing period within Hungarian Tokaji sweet wine casks for 3 years and 6 months.
Called the “wine of kings, the king of wine” by Louis XIV, Tokaji is a dessert wine made in Hungary since the 18th Century, although this type of wine production can be traced back to 1576. Produced from grapes influenced by noble rot, the grapes become raisined and therefore sweet. Tokaji wine typically boasts notes of balanced sweetness, apricot, peach, orange zest and chamomile.
This is not the first time we’ve utilised these rare wine casks; in fact, we have been experimenting with these casks for as long as we have been releasing whiskies. In 2021, we released a triple distilled Tokaji Cask Finish bottle with an ABV of 53%; in 2022 we released an unpeated Tokaji finish which was the contents of a single finishing cask presented at 58.1% ABV; and in 2023 we released a widely acclaimed peated Tokaji Cask Finish which was bottled at 53.4% ABV.
This new release utilises only unpeated double distilled single malts; the whisky style is fresh, fruity and robust.
Glasgow 1770 Tokaji Cask Finish is a marriage of four casks: 16/855, 17/812, 17/813, and 17/814. The contents of each were initially matured within first fill ex-bourbon casks for a minimum of 3 years and 4 months before a finish within the Tokaji Wine Hogshead casks for 3 years and 6 months. This release was bottled on the 3rd of June 2024.
Bottled at 54.8% ABV with 1300 bottles available, this release is characterised by its solid bourbon cask-influenced backbone with a rich and tropical twist provided by the Tokaji casks. Experience thick manuka honey with slightly floral notes, balanced against fruity notes of mango, pineapple, dried apricots, and orange peel before deeper notes of nutmeg spice and fresh oak.
