High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram is a limited edition straight rye whiskey that is released annually. Act #9 Scene #3 refers to the ninth release of this whiskey and the third scene in the act, which signifies a unique batch or blend of the product.
The whiskey is a blend of straight rye whiskeys, aged from 5 to 19 years, and is finished in French oak port barrels. This finishing process imparts flavors of dried fruit, port wine, and oak to the whiskey, which balances the spiciness of the rye.
High West A Midwinter Night’s Dram Act #9 Scene #3 has a rich amber color and a complex aroma of caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, and clove. On the palate, it offers a spicy kick of rye, followed by notes of dark chocolate, cherry, and raisin. The finish is long and warming, with a sweet and fruity aftertaste.
This whiskey is best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to open up the flavors. It is a great choice for sipping on a cold winter night, as it warms you up from the inside out.
