Description
Veuve Clicquot Extra Brut Extra Old is a champagne that is made from a blend of reserve wines, some of which are up to 20 years old, along with a base of younger wines. The exact blend of grape varieties is not specified by the producer. The wine is aged in the cellar for at least 3 years, which is longer than the minimum requirement for champagne. The wine is then disgorged and a low dosage of sugar is added, resulting in an “extra brut” style that is very dry and crisp. The wine has notes of dried fruit, toasted brioche, and nuts, and is known for its complexity and elegance.
